Well hello there lovelies! Things have been a bit quiet on the cake crumbs & beach sand front lately as I’ve been switching off more and enjoying the fine weather in Perth. I sometimes find I spend so much time with my head in my phone or my laptop that I lose touch with the real world. So, I’ve been having a small break, engaging more with my family and enjoying the thought that summer is approaching. I am loving it!
Over the coming month or so you will notice a few changes around here. I am moving my blog to more food and photography and less me babbling on about life and the things that make me think and tick. I think I have finally run out of things to say… I know! Of course this doesn’t apply to food, I could never run out of things to say about food.
I am currently diving into my photography to prepare my portfolio for my new website where I will showcase my food photos. I am overflowing with prop and recipe ideas, I can’t wait to sink my teeth into it! I am also on the look out for some food photography gigs, so if you know anyone needing a food photographer, I’m your girl!
As I mentioned earlier I recently had a couple of recipes published in the amazing Beaufort St Festival Cookbook. A friend initially told me that organisers of The Beaufort St Festival were looking for food stylists, I hesitated and submitted a few recipes instead. I attended the cookbook launch and excitedly watched as the cookbooks were first unveiled. When I got home and started to browse I discovered TWO of my recipes were actually published! So very exciting. Next year I will put my hand up to be involved in the food styling or photography. This pleases me very much!
As cake crumbs & beach sand takes on its new shape, I thank you for sticking by and always encouraging me and inspiring me to do what my soul loves most. I hope you’ll enjoy the new look!
