Somewhere in South Fremantle

Don’t you just love it when you meander down a street you’ve never paid attention to before and you find little gems?

  • Lisa - Peggy, you are a woman after my own heart. Love love South Freo. We live not far from there & often wander down for a look. I am an Auberine Cafe fan from way back-except they got rid of my fave breakie (BLT & avocado bagel with tomato relish on the side) See how tragic I am! Great pics xReplyCancel

  • Peggy Saas - Lisa, we so have to meet for coffee sometime! I have a newfound appreciation for Freo and South Freo. We’ve lived 10 minutes away for the past 5 years and I have only recently started to love hanging out there. I’ve been to Ootong a couple of times, I can see it fast becoming my Monday morning hangout spot.

    Thanks Lisa. xReplyCancel

  • Niki - Beautiful shots! Looks like an absolutely lovely day! It is, indeed, always a treat to find something extraordinary in the everyday. Smiles to you!ReplyCancel

  • Maxabella - And WHAT a gem it is! I could stay there for hours – I could look at these photos for hours. Refreshingly unpretentious creativity and spirit. xReplyCancel

  • Olivia - I found you over at Maxabella.
These photos are simply beautiful Peggy.
I love that the cafe still serves peanut butter, I love that you took a sneaky pic of the handsome waiter and I love that you love mundane beauty like me.
    Thanks for sharing

  • Peggy Saas - Thank you Niki. This was a Monday morning, it looks so different to when I used to work full time. I love these moments, I love being able to just sit and take in the beauty in the small details.

Thanks so much for stopping by and saying hello.ReplyCancel

  • Peggy Saas - Thank you Bron. I did sit there for hours, it’s such a quirky little spot with so much to take in. xReplyCancel

  • Peggy Saas - Thank you so much for popping in Olivia, don’t you just love Maxabella!

Mundane beauty is everywhere when your eyes are open to it. I take in much more of it now that I have more time (and work less). I love that little side table too with the peanut butter, epitomises the old Aussie breakfast!

Thanks for saying hello, lovely to cyber meet you.ReplyCancel

  • Maureen | Orgasmic Chef - I’ve never been to the west coast but I really want to, especially after looking at these photos.ReplyCancel

  • Lisa@RandomActsOfZen - I just love when you come across those little gems! Your images are just divine :)ReplyCancel

  • Peggy Saas - Maureen our coast is sensational, we have cute and quirky little cafes and Perth is just a pretty little city. If you ever get the chance to head west, you won’t be disappointed.ReplyCancel

  • Peggy Saas - Thank you Lisa. My eyes are drawn to the quirky, less obvious little details in cute places such as this one. Thanks for popping by. :)ReplyCancel
